North East - The heaven in the Sight
The person who said “If there is heaven on Earth, it is in Switzerland”, probably never visited to North East of India. Considering the fact that it is home to some of most of the beautiful and mesmerizing places in the country. So it won’t be wrong to call Northeast India a Magical land with spectral wonders. Let me walk you through some of the best places I visited while exploring this Heavenly Destination.
Darjeeling- Land of Tea. - Located in the cradle of the Himalayan Mountain range, the picturesque town of Darjeeling. One can reach this tourist attraction via roadways or airways. We went by road till Siliguri and took toy train, trust me best views guaranteed. Hotels/Motels are easily available and the local people are extremely helpful. There are many attractions such as the Zoo (Has Yak, Himalayan bear & Snow Leopard), the Botanical gardens, Sunrise from Tiger Hill, and many more. The best months visit is from September when the rains end, visit in January/February if you want to witness the snow shower.
Sikkim - Land of Dazzling Waterfalls - One of the beautiful tourist spots in India with its Monasteries, carnivals, adventure activities, Waterfalls, Virgin forests, and many more. The nearest station is New Jalpaiguri Junction, From there are many shared taxis are available to various destinations in Sikkim. You can cover Gangtok (Nathu la, Tsomgo Lake, Rumtek Monastery, Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok, Enchey Monastery, and Gangtok Ropeway) Lachung (Snow covering peaks, Waterfalls), Lachen (Chopta Valley, Gurudongmar Lake, and Cholamu Lake), Pelling (Dentam Valley, Pemayangtse Monastery, Singshore Bridge, Rabadantse Ruins), Yuskam, Yukom and Namchi to name a few.
Kaziranga - Home of one Horned Rhinos - The Kaziranga Forest is home to many wild animals exotic birds and aquatic fauna. Kaziranga is also home to the largest population of endangered species. Visit Kaziranga National Park, one of the top five famous national parks. I also will suggest you check out the Kaziranga Sandhya (A show depicting the tribal dance forms and their daily life). You can also visit Orchid Park, famous for its floral beauty
Tawang the land of Monasteries - Famous for its 400-year-old, One of the biggest Buddhist monasteries in India. For Buddhism followers, It is one of the important pilgrim centers. Tawang is also one of the best hill stations in India. The scenic mountains, cool breeze, picture-perfect lakes, Monpa tribe inhabitants make it must visit place in your life. (Monpa tribe are peace-loving Buddhist culture follower in Arunachal Pradesh)
Overall North East is Nature’s Paradise, which attracts and enchants the traveler.
