Hi, This is Robin Monger, I went to India for the first time, Last year and stayed there for almost 3 months. I never went on such a long holiday but it was a memorable experience. I was lucky enough to find a Proper Travel Planner “Shree Rajyash Holidays Mumbai ” for arranging all the travel tickets to booking all the Hotels and transfers. They helped me with everything.
It was a visual delight of bright lights, lumbering street cows, Fresh Muddy Lotus and bursts of sunlight, A constant cluster of beeping horns, Smell of amazing spices. It can inspire, astonish, and enlighten at the same time. So this is what I felt about traveling in India, the land of 1.2 billion. Here's what you all need to know about traveling to India.
How long - If you want to make it to most of the places in India, Even a year won't be sufficient. If you don't have much time to spare, At max, you could get a taste of India's Magic in two weeks. Try to stay at least 2 nights at every place you visit if you wish to know the real India. If this is your first Trip then I would recommend you start with north, the land of Mountains, Palaces, Mustaches & Turbans - where you're guaranteed to experience your very own Darjeeling Limited fantasy. And on your second trip go south.
Language - If you are thinking Hindi is the major language spoken in India then you are mistaken, Hindi isn't spoken by everyone, In reality, there are more than 20 languages spoken throughout India and English serves as common lingo between many languages.
GROUP OR ALONE - If you are going for the first time then I would recommend you go in a group. You can look for any big trusted Tour operator like I choose Shree Rajyash Holidays Mumbai. Alternatively, you can plan your trip and take the help of local guides for specific locations.
HOW TO STAY SAFE - Take proper precautions while traveling to India especially for female travelers. Don’t fall for cheap deal traps, they all are scams at the end. Always trust your tour guide and follow all the local guidelines. You'll need to be prepared for being stared at all the places. Dress conservatively and avoid traveling alone.
HOW TO GET AROUND - In Metro cities, auto-rickshaws, taxis can take you everywhere. You can hire Ola, Uber too for roaming around cities. Trains are normally overcrowded and difficult to navigate - they're fine for short trips and economical, but not recommended for overnight travel. The best option is to hire a car for a state you wish to travel to and visit all the places in that.
WHERE TO STAY - Accommodation Options in India are very economical. Budget options are generally not advisable, but mid-range options are where you get the best value for your money, and if budget is not an issue you can go for five-star hotels.
WHERE TO EAT - People do worry about the food in India, but there’s nothing to worry about. Yes, it’s true that Indians eat with their hands. It is part of their culture. But don't worry you will get silverware at all tourist places. While you travel, you’ll notice that the Food preference and taste varies across India! There are so many Indian delicacies to try which you will never get bored of.
I hope this will help you plan your travel to India. Stay safe, And enjoy this colorful land.
